Portland in Dorset viewed from the top. On the left is Chesil beach and Weymouth's on the right. Portland has several interesting features including two prisons, a naval base, a coastguard station and the quarry where they got the stone for the Cenotaph in Whitehall. It was very pleasant and much better than that other prison island, the Isle of Wight, which you can't walk to.
