The caption should read 'Look! Glacier!'. Actually, this is the small glacier behind Ushuaia, Argentina. We walked up there along a splendid path through some woods alongside a bubbling river but got the chairlift back down because we're soft. Posted by Picasa

Geese! In Argentina!
Aren't they beauties? These are Kelp Geese we saw on a walk round the Tierra del Fuego national park. Posted by Picasa

The famous One Armed Bandit of Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. We arrived here by plane from Buenos Aires on Sunday for a week of walking, looking at the scenery and boasting to people about being in the most Southerly town in the world.  Posted by Picasa

If you've been to Buenos Aires, you've probably taken this picture. It's the Boca area, where Boca Juniors (and in the old days, Maradona), play and they painted the houses like this to turn it into a tourist trap. I mean, express the vibrancy of their local culture.

See, you don't have to go overseas to experience wonderful scenery, glorious ancient cultures or geese. These chaps were just sitting around by the Cam when I went past.  Posted by Picasa

You want to fall over near a waterfall? Chose a decent one, that's all I can say. Angel Falls, Venezuela. It's huge. Posted by Picasa

South America is so last week. It's so over. We heard that fashions had changed while we were in Venezuela so Joanne helpfully dislocated her shoulder at Angel Falls and we were able to come to Cambridgeshire, which is very much the now place to be. This is her at fashionable Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon. It turns out she's actually OK so we're hoping to be back in Buenos Aires next week some time, barring further disaster. Posted by Picasa
